How did we select the teas?

We offer a selection of almost 100 luxury loose leaf teas, and have curated a collection pulling from tea types including Black, Green, White, Rooibos, Oolong and Flowering.

We have chosen a selection of our best-selling teas, the teas which keep people coming back for more, packaged into our biodegradable Triune Teabags for ease and convenience during this busy time of year. 

Are the teabags plastic free?

Yes! Our Luxury Advent Calendar features our signature Triune Teabags. These are made out of Soilon, a cornstarch-based fabric, with a cotton string and a paper tag, making them 100% biodegradable. The Triune Teabag is filled with loose leaf tea (we use the exact same tea leaves for both our loose-leaf and teabag offerings) which is then sealed with heat and pressure (no adhesives or glues whatsoever). 

How do I prepare the teas?

Each day of the tea advent calendar will have an individual box which contains a different tea. Each of these will have a brewing guide for the tea, however the tea temperatures below act as a general guide for each tea type.

White Tea:

To make the most of the subtle flavours, it is recommended that you steep your white teas with water that measures between 76.6C and 85C.

Green Tea:

Like white teas, green teas have very similar delicate leaves and become cooked quickly in water that is poured too hot. Leave your green tea to steep in water 76.6C and 85C for the best possible flavours.

Oolong Tea:

To make the most of the sweet oolong flavour, steep your teas with water between 82.2 and 87.2 in temperature.

Black Tea:

Like herbal teas, black tea has one of the strongest teas, and can withstand a much hotter temperature of water. To make the most of your black tea it is best left to steep in water between 97.7 and 100 degrees.

Herbal Tea:

Herbal teas, often chosen for their relaxing properties and unique tastes are much like black teas and also steep best in much hotter water. To make the perfect herbal tea, leave it to steep in water between 97.7 and 100 degrees.
