Matcha tradition

Hand-made and glazed in Japan, this black beauty elevates the experience of matcha brewing. The 400ml-capacity of this matcha bowl provides plenty of room for effective whisking without splashes, while its glossy, subtly decorated finish makes it a joy to use.

As practical as it is beautiful to look at, our Ceramic Matcha Bowl is microwave and dishwasher safe. It’s light enough for easy handling while having enough heft to feel firm and stable while whisking. For authentic brewing of your favourite Japanese green tea, use it with our traditional Bamboo Matcha Whisk and Chashaku Spoon.

How Do You Make Matcha?

Start by adding to your matcha bowl (or ‘chawan’ in Japanese) with some Matcha Essentials, which you’ll find on The Tea Makers of London’s online store. Matcha bowl and whisk.
Lovely products. Delivery was very speedy, arrived before Christmas. Well packed. Makes a great drinking experience, much better than a whisk in a mug!

Ceramic Matcha Bowl
Excellent value and not only perfect for matcha but as a soup / cereal / food bowl. We have both the blue and white versions and they are a joy to look at too.

Does not match photos
I ordered the white bowl and it has a big blue swirl inside it which is not depicted in any of the photos. It’s ok but not what I was expecting. Came in a nice gift box.
